Painted en plein air in the Lüneburg Heath.
I noticed this old birch tree during one of my painting excursions in the Lüneburg Heath. It stood alone by the path. Although the birch was outwardly dead, upon closer inspection it was still full of life. In nature, no resources are wasted.
